Carbis Bay is a pretty easy 30 minute walk along the South West Coast Path, or a 5 minute hop on the coastal railway from St Ives town.
If you are looking for a Blue Flag award-winning beach with beautiful sand and options for lots of watersports then this beach is not one to miss. Walk up hill from the beach and you will find a nice parade of shops including a mini supermarket, chemist and hairdressers.
Carbis Bay is privately owned but is open to the public throughout the year. It is perfect for a day-trip, sunbathe or a swim. Seasonal lifeguards are on hand, and the kids will love rock-pooling at low tide and the excellent beachside facilities.
The G7 2021 Summit was recently held at Carbis Bay Hotel that overlooks the beach.
